The mission of this enterprise is to promote sports-related fundraising events, give exposure to the benefiting charities and shed light on the sponsoring businesses, all in a format that informs, engages and entertains.
The Angel in the Infield 8th Annual Softball Tournament, in memory of Keri Perotti, is canceled for 2021 because of ongoing safety concerns surrounding the pandemic.
The 10- team round robin event, which was also canceled in 2020, is held on the first weekend of May. Organizers vow that the tournament will return in 2022.
The tournament is held in honor of Keri Perotti, a beloved member of the Canaan community, who passed away in an automobile accident at 21 years old. The softball tournament reflects Keri’s love of sports. All funds raised throughout the tournament go toward a scholarship fund in memory of Keri, which gifts two $1,000 scholarships each year to graduating high school seniors. Over $20,000 has been raised so far.

Tickets will go on sale Tuesday, May 25, and can be purchased at TravelersChampionship.com. Two pricing options will be available that provide single-day access to TPC River Highlands Wednesday, June 23 – Sunday, June 27. The Annual BSRCC 5K Run/Walk will be held virtually Saturday, May 22, 2021. the event is sponsored by the Berkshire South Regional Community Center. Register online.
